The only things on our list today were some shopping and seeing the famous Shibuya area, which is packed with people and stores. We went to a baby store for some supplies for Kent, a huge electronics store which looks like Best Buy on steroids, the Japanese equivalents of our Dollar Tree (my favorite, of course!) and something like a Japanese WalMart.
Shibuya crossing is just outside that train station and is probably the busiest intersection in the world. All the neon signs make it look sort of like Times Square. Several streets come together, and all the streets turn to pedestrian green at the same time, and thousands of people all surge ahead in every direction. Somehow, everyone seems to make it across before the traffic starts up again! It's a tourist attraction in itself.
We went to look at the building very near there where Alan lived when he was in school in 2007 and where he lived when he met Yuka. They pointed out spots where they had their first dates.
